FAQs
1. I regularly write blogs and articles. Why do I need a coach to write my book?
Writing an article is a jog, while writing a book is like scaling a handful of mountains. You sort of use the same muscles but you need more of everything - creative stamina, mental strength, fuel, time, direction, patience and skill. With a book coach by your side, you will still have to do the climbing, but you won't be alone and you can share your load with someone who really knows the terrain.
2. Why can't I use AI instead?
You can definitely use AI in addition to your human supporters. AI can be immensely helpful in various aspects of writing and is an efficient sous-writer. But when it comes to a full-fledged book, it lacks originality, intuition, empathy and creative judgment, which are crucial for understanding an author's intent, context and writing style. AI doesn’t know self-doubt, hardship or the taste of coffee. It doesn’t have aha moments or feel the exhilaration of debugging a complex code. It can't understand you or support your long-term visibility and impact. Not yet at least.
3. Will you write my book for me?
No, we will help you write your book in your words. Writing a book, like scaling mountains or learning a musical instrument, can be a deeply transformative process. Your voice and your complete control over the style and direction of your work will give you a truly authentic book. Give yourself the privilege and take the long road; we'll walk right by your side and help you every step of the way.
4. What is the difference between book coaching and editing?
Coaching focuses on the person and the process, while editing focuses on the product. Coaching is a collaborative effort that focuses on writing and preventing issues from creeping into the manuscript while its being written. On the other hand, editing happens after at least one round of writing is complete; it identifies and corrects the gaps and errors in the manuscript.
5. Can you guarantee that I will find an agent or a publishing deal?
Unfortunately we cannot make any such guarantee. However, we can help you get your book in the best shape possible, so you can have a better shot at achieving your goals.
6. Are there any genres that you don't work on?
We aren't great at coaching authors writing fantasy, horror, thrillers, religious books and books that promote any sort of divisive ideology.
7. Do you work with fiction authors?
We do accept a limited number of autofiction and literary fiction books. Drop us a line and let's see if we can work together.
